Brussels Airlines considers re-launching Brussels-Yerevan-Brussels flights
Belgium’s national carrier Brussels Airlines is seriously considering the possibility of re-launching the Brussels-Yerevan-Brussels flights, the air company’s Vice President Herman Carpentier said at the meeting with Sergey Avetisyan, Director of Armenia’s General Department of Civil Aviation (GDCA).
The head of the Belgian carrier noted that the positive developments recorded in the Armenian aviation market in recent years, as well as the upward trends in the passenger traffic can leave a positive impact to ensure the profitability of flights linking Armenia to Central Europe, the GDCA told Panorama.am.
Sergey Avetisyan noted Armenia and Belgium have the legal framework necessary to operate flights normally, adding more favorable conditions will be created for the company to expand the flight routes in case the Armenia-EU common aviation zone deal is signed.
Armenia International Airports General Manager Marcelo Wende was also present at the meeting, offering his support to the Brussels Airlines to organize the flights.
