Cheese production volumes increase in Armenia
According to data provided by the National Statistics Service (NSS), 19,140.7 tons of cheese was produced in Armenia in 2017 which is 14.2% increase to compare to the previous year.
NSS further reports that sour cream production levels dropped in 2017 by 17%, amounting to 4,915.0 tones, while curd cheese production levels decreased by 9.5%, amounting to 864.1 tones.
Meanwhile, production levels of milk increased by 0.4% with total volume of 461.8 ml. liters produced in 2017.
NSS data also indicate about the 2.7% increase of yogurt production in Armenia for the mentioned period, amounting to 6,261.5 tones against 6,098.4 tones produced in 2016.
