Construction of third Artsakh-Armenia road launched
Construction works of Karvachar-Norabak-Sotk, the third alternative road connecting Artsakh with Armenia, have kicked off, Minister of Urban Development of Artsakh, Pavel Najaryan, told Artsakhpress.
The Artsakh official added that the hydro-geological studies of grounds are underway.
“A nearly 26 km-long road will be constructed to reach the Sotk village of Gegharkunik province from the town of Karvachar and to join the main highway. Thus, we will have the third alternative road, which will link Artsakh with Armenia,” the minister said.
He next spoke about the current studies aimed at finding appropriate solutions in terms of water draining systems, necessary infrastructures and installment of engineering structures.
The construction is set to be completed by the yearend.
