Vahan Ter-Ghevondyan elected new director of Matenadaran
Vahan Ter-Ghevondyan was elected director of the Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts Matenadaran. The decision was taken at today's meeting of the Board of Trustees of Institute, with Vahan Ter-Ghevondyan nominated as the only candidate for the position.
Ter-Ghevondyan, PhD in Historical Sciences, served as the Acting Director of the Institute since September 2016, when the former Director Hrachya Tamrazyan has passed away after a long disease.
During today's meeting, Vahan Ter-Ghevondyan presented five-year development program of the Institute, addressed the questions of the Board members. The candidate received the unanimous support of the members following the secret ballot.
