PM Karapetyan offers condolences to Russian counterpart over deadly plane crash
Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan on Wednesday offered his condolences to Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev over the deadly crash of Russian An-26 plane in Syria, the government’s press office said.
In a condolence letter, Mr Karapetyan, on behalf of the Armenian government and personally himself, asked to convey his sympathy and solidarity to the families and relatives of the victims.
Earlier President Serzh Sargsyan sent a condolence cable to President Vladimir Putin of Russia. On behalf of the Armenian people and himself, President Sargsyan asked to convey deep condolences and sympathy to the victims’ relatives.
Russia’s Antonov-26 transport plane crashed in Syria on Tuesday as it was about to land killing 32 people. According to preliminary information, a technical problem could have been the cause of the crash.
