CoE’s Jagland congratulates President-elect Armen Sargsyan
Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland offered his congratulations to Armenia’s President-elect Armen Sargsyan.
In a congratulatory message, Mr. Jagland assured that the Council of Europe will continue to support the Armenian structures ‘in this historical period for the country, especially during the transition to the parliamentary system of government’.
The CoE official wished Mr. Sargsyan every success in his future activities, Armen Sargsyan’s press office reported.
The newly elected President of Armenia also received congratulations from Stephen Pound, MP of the House of Commons of the UK Parliament and Chairman of the British-Armenian Parliamentary Friendship Group, Baroness Caroline Cox and Chairman of the Global Leadership Foundation Frederik Willem de Klerk.
