PM Karapetyan sums up outcomes of Lebanon visit, gives instructions to Cabinet members
Agreements, including in the sphere of trade and economic cooperation, have been reached during the official visit of Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan to Lebanon, he announced at today’s Cabinet meeting, summing up the outcomes of talks with Lebanese officials.
According to PM Karapetyan, a series of meetings were held with the Lebanese leadership, as well as businessmen, representatives of the banking system and Armenian community representatives on the sidelines of the visit, Panorama.am reports.
The Armenian premier tasked the ministers of foreign affairs, economic development and investments, energy infrastructure and natural resources, agriculture, territorial administration and development, as well as the executive director of Development Fund of Armenia to undertake measures in one month to implement the agreements reached during the Lebanon visit within the agreed timeframes.
In addition to this, the officials were instructed to submit proposals to the government staff on boosting the activities of the Armenian-Lebanese intergovernmental commission, preparing its regular session and elaborating agenda issues per sectors, as well as proposals on activities aimed at creating the Armenian-Lebanese Investment Fund.
He also stressed the need to set a clear-cut visit schedule for those businessmen who are due to visit Armenia.
