President-elect Armen Sargsyan meets with EastWest Institute members in New York
Armenia’s President-elect Armen Sargsyan held a meeting with members of the EastWest Institute (EWI) NGO in New York.
The meeting addressed issues on the implementation of joint programs in Armenia, Armen Sargsyan’s office told Panorama.am.
The EastWest Institute was founded in 1980. At the moment, the organization targets modern challenges, which distort stability across the world.
The EWI is famous for such initiatives in various sectors as preventive diplomacy, economic and regional security and cyber-security.
Among the honorary chairmen and directors of the institute are Finland's ex-President Martti Ahtisaari, former President of Romania Emil Constantinescu, former German Foreign Minister Hans-Dietrich Genscher and others.
Armen Sargsyan has been Vice Chairman of the organization since 2008.
