Newly appointed Albanian Ambassador hands credentials
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Albania to Armenia Ardiana Hobdari (residence in Athens) presented today her credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.
As the press department at the President's Office reported, Armenian President wished her every success in her diplomatic mission and expressed the hope that the Ambassador's activities would add momentum to bilateral relations.
Sargsyan stressed that the potential of cooperation is still used insufficiently, especially considering that Armenia and Albania have entered the quarter-century of diplomatic relations. The President of Armenia next highlighted the importance of reciprocated high-level visits, noting that he had invited the President of Albania to attend the Francophonie Summit to be held in Yerevan this autumn, Serzh Sargsyan emphasized that Armenia would be glad to host him. President Sargsyan made a point of enhancing the regulatory framework between the two countries, boosting inter-parliamentary relations, developing economic exchanges and strengthening cooperation within the international organizations.
The Albanian Ambassador in turn assured that her efforts would be aimed at promoting cooperation in cultural, economic, humanitarian and other fields. the Ambassador welcomed the recent progress in EU-Armenia cooperation and wished our country ever new achievements on this way.
Ardiana Hobdari took the opportunity to praise Albania's small but well-organized Armenian community which, as she said, could play an important role in the development of bilateral relations, the release said.
