Some roads in Armenia closed, difficult to pass
Some roadways are closed or difficult to pass in the territory of Armenia as of 10 a.m. March 17, the Ministry of Emergency Situations told Panorama.am.
Scattered showers and thunderstorm are forecast for Vayots Dzor, Syunik and Artsakh in the daytime of March 17, with no precipitation expected on 18-20 March.
According to the source, Sotk-Karvachar highway is closed for traffic. Vardenyats Pass is difficult to pass.
Snowfalls have reportedly hit Gegharkunik region, Jermuk town of Vayots Dzor region and M2 Highway.
All drivers are strictly recommended to use winter tires when driving in the regions.
According to the information provided by the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and the General Department of the Republic of North Ossetia of Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.
