Roads mostly passable in Armenia
Roadways are mostly passable in the territory of Armenia as of 9:30 a.m. on Friday, the Ministry of Emergency Situations told Panorama.am.
No precipitation is expected in Armenia at night of 24 March, on 26-27, while scattered showers with thunderstorm are predicted in the first half of March 23 in western regions, at late evening of 24, at night and in the morning of 25 in most regions and in the daytime of 25 in southern regions.
According to the source, Sotk-Karvachar highway is partly coated with black ice.
The ministry urges all drivers to use exclusively winter tires when driving in the regions.
According to the information provided by the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and the General Department of the Republic of North Ossetia of Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.
