Armenian Honorary Consulate opens in Chicago
Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Armenia was opened in Chicago on March 22. As the foreign ministry reports, the official ceremony of the opening and Oskar Tatulyan's assuming of the post of the honorary consul was followed by a diplomatic reception at the historic Union League Club of Chicago.
The Consulate will serve Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota states.
According to the source, the guest in attendance were greeted by Chicago Mayor and Archbishop Khajag Parsamian, the metropolite of Diocese of Armenian Church of America, Ambassador of Armenia to the United States Grigor Hovhannisyan as well as 400 guests, honorary consuls, representatives of Armenian community among them.
