Landmine explosion reported in Artsakh not linked with Defense Army – spox
A car exploded on a landmine in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) on Thursday morning, leaving some people killed and injured.
Senor Hasratyan, a spokesman for the country’s Defense Ministry, told Panorama.am that the incident is not connected with the Artsakh Defense Army.
The HALO Trust company conducting landmine clearance activities in Artsakh said it cannot provide any details over the explosion, promising to release an official statement soon.
Speaking to Panorama.am, sources from the Republican Medical Center in Stepanakert confirmed the report, adding two of the injured identified as de-miners have been admitted to their healthcare center.
“They are in a severe condition undergoing operations at the moment,” the hospital sources said, adding one of them has suffered injuries in the legs.
At the moment there are no confirmed official reports on the explosion victims.
