Armenian boxer Narek Manasyan secures at least bronze at U22 European Championships
Armenian boxer Narek Manasyan (91 kg) claimed a victory on Thursday at the quarterfinals of EUBC U22 European Championships underway in Targu Jiu, Romania.
Winning his bout against Lucian Felix of Germany, the Armenian athlete made it through to the semifinals of the championship, securing at least a bronze medal, the Boxing Federation of Armenia told Panorama.am.
Today is a day-off, with Narek Manasyan set to face Muslim Gadzhimagomed of Russia at the semifinals scheduled for tomorrow.
Two other representatives of Armenia – Erik Petrosyan and Hrayr Shahverdyan – dropped out of contest at the quarterfinals.
