Hovnanian International announces launch of FOREST project to enhance tourism in Dilijan town
Hovnanian International, LLC (HI) announces the creation of its newest venture “Forest Dilijan™” (FOREST). FOREST is the first project for HI dedicated for the outdoor family adventure experience.
FOREST will preserve the natural beauty and integrity of the approximately 11 hectare site situated in the center of Armenia’s Dilijan town, ascending up towards the highlands. FOREST Dilijan ™ will be a place where families can come to hike, camp, and enjoy natural activities utilizing the natural aspects of the site without the disturbance of its existing trees and rolling landscape.
FOREST will be led by the seasoned Hovnanian International team headquartered in Yerevan’s Vahakni and will be managed on site by architect Hovhannes Zardaryan who has dedicated his life to creative projects throughout Armenia, HI LLC said in a statement.
FOREST looks forward to embracing and serving the local Dilijan community to enhance tourism, a long-term Hovnanian International’s commitment, and foster economic activity.
FOREST also looks to involve the local youth from surrounding educational institutions in its ongoing activities.
FOREST is focused on sustainability utilizing, whenever possible, existing resources and materials on site as well as off-grid renewable green technology, such as solar and wind for electricity and onsite natural water sources.
FOREST was inspired several years ago when construction for HI’s previously planned and approved resort was stopped by environmental activists. The plans for FOREST is now dedicated to non-disturbance of the storied Dilijan site. This revised plan is headed by the next generation of the Hovnanian family which is leading the HI team and is consistent with changing demographics and global sustainability concerns and desires.
Hovnanian International invites Dilijan community members and interested parties to a conceptual preview launch event on Earth Day, April 22, 2018 at 12:00 o’clock on the Forest Dilijan™ property.
