Azerbaijani cities should follow example of those that cooperate with Artsakh towns – spox
Azerbaijani cities should follow the example of all those towns and cities that cooperate with Artsakh, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Tigran Balayan said on Twitter, commenting on the friendship declaration signed yesterday between the French city of Bourg-de-Péage and the Artsakh town of Martuni.
“The Azerbaijani cities should follow this example. They will pave the way for lasting peace. The sooner the Azerbaijani president realizes this, the better for Azerbaijan and its people,” he tweeted.
The Declaration on Friendship between the Artsakh town and the French city was signed during a visit to France by the Speaker of the Artsakh National Assembly, Ashot Ghulyan.
It aims at establishing friendly relations between them based on mutual trust and respect. The Declaration, in particular, reads that Martuni and Bourg-de-Péage will seek cooperation in the spheres of culture, education and art, based on solidarity and respect for human dignity.
