Artsakh soldier honored with posthumous award
Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan on Monday signed a decree on posthumously awarding Defense Army serviceman Narek Harutyunyan with the "For Service in Battle" medal for bravery shown during the defense of the Artsakh state border, the presidential press service said.
Narek Gevorg Harutyunyan (b. 1998) sustained a fatal gunshot wound on Monday, at around 14:20, due to Azerbaijani fire in one of the military bases of Karabakh Defense Army located in the southern direction.
A probe is underway to uncover the circumstances of the incident.
