Protesters continue march across Yerevan streets
The crowd of protesters led by MP Nikol Pashinyan continue their protest march along the central streets in capital Yerevan.
Tհe demonstrators are currently moving forward along the route of Mashtots Avenue-Paronyan Street-Leo Street-Saryan Street.
As of 1:07 p.m., the protesters gathered on the Victory Bridge, facing resistance by police officers to move forward.
Earlier on Monday, the march participants broke into the building of the State Pedagogical University, chanting slogans.
Pashinyan called on the crowd to welcome with applause the university staff who had not locked the building for ther entry.
Prior to that, the people entering the university building joined the demonstrators.
Thousands of protesters have been demonstrating in Yerevan since April 13, boycotting the ruling Republican Party of Armenia’s decision to nominate Serzh Sargsyan as the next prime minister of Armenia.
