President Armen Sarkissian signs decree appointing Serzh Sargsyan as Armenia's new prime minister
Armenian President Armen Sarkissian has signed on Tuesday a degree, appointing Serzh Sargsyan as Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
"To Appoint Serzh Sargsyan as the Prime Minister, based on the RA National Assembly April 17 decision on electing Serzh Sargsyan as the Prime Minister of Armenia and guided by Part 5 of Article 149 of the RA Constitution,"reads the President's decree available on the official website of the President's office.
To note, earlier Armenian parliament elected Serzh Sargsyan as prime minister with 76 votes in favour.
