Former PM Karen Karapetyan appointed First Vice Prime Minister
President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian signed today decree appointing Karen Karapetyan, the country's former prime minister as the First Vice Prime Minister in the new government.
"To appoint Karen Vilhem Karapetyan as the First Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia based on the recommendation of the Prime Minister and according to Article 150 of the Constitution," the decree by the President reads.
According to other decrees signed by the President, Vache Gabrielyan and Armen Gevorgyan were appointed Vice Prime Ministers.
To note, Gabrielyan served the Vice Prime Minister, Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms in the former cabinet, while Gevorgyan has been the Chief of Staff at the President's Office.
