Armenian Police urge journalists to keep distance from protests
The Armenia Police call on reporters to keep a reasonable distance from the locations of protests to avoid hindering the performances of police duties.
In a statement, the Police said they are taking measures aimed at “stopping violations of the public order” in the places of protests led by opposition MP Nikol Pashinyan.
“The Police ask you to remain at a reasonable distance from the places of protest actions to avoid hindering the Police from fulfilling its responsibilities,” the statement said.
Mass anti-government demonstrations resumed in Armenia on Wednesday morning, protesting ex-president Serzh Sargsyan’s nomination and election as the country’s prime minister.
