European Women Chess Championship: Round 10 over
Armenian chess player Elina Danielyan suffered her third defeat in a row at Round 10 of European Individual Women Chess Championship held in Slovakia on Wednesday, missing the chance to be qualified for the World Chess Cup.
Two other representatives of Armenia – Lilit Mkrtchian and Maria Kursova – drew their games in this round, the Chess Federation of Armenia told Panorama.am.
Anna Sargsyan and Maria Gevorgyan celebrated victories at Round 10, while Siranush Ghukasyan lost his game.
After ten rounds, Russian Valentina Gunina is solely leading the table. Lilit Mkrtchian and Maria Kursova have collected 6 points apiece, while Elina Danielyan and Anna Sargsyan have 5.5 points.
The final round of the European Women Chess Championship is scheduled for today.
