Yerevan protests: Human Rights Defender's representatives pay visits to Police divisions
The hotline of the Human Rights Defender's (HRD) Office has received calls on detention of today's demonstration participants, the office said in a statement.
By the instruction of Armenia’s Ombudsman the rapid reaction groups of the office have already visited Erebuni, Central and Arabkir divisions of the Yerevan Police, with special attention paid to the reasons behind the apprehension of opposition activists.
The HRD’s Office also informs that from the very beginning of Yerevan protests an emergency schedule has been set up in the capital, working groups have been created, which, based on their professional direction, carry out round-the-clock monitoring of the demonstrations, conduct visits related to the facts of isolation of protesters by police, as well as monitor media publications and social networks.
