Armenia’s Defense Ministry calls on protesters to refrain from blocking streets close to its HQs
Armenia’s Ministry of Defense has issued a statement, calling on opposition protesters to refrain from blocking the streets close to the ministry’s headquarters and the movement of the vehicles of the state structure.
The statement says that the Defense Ministry and the General Staff of the Armed Forces are on round-the-clock duty for seven days a week to ensure the normal functioning of the Armenian army.
“Nothing can interrupt those works,” the ministry said.
“Any similar attempt will be strictly prevented.”
As mass public protests enter a ninth day in Yerevan, Armenia’s capital, the demonstrators led by the “My Step” initiative leader, MP Nikol Pashinyan are set to march near the Defense Ministry building in the Nor Nork distrct.
