MP Pashinyan released from detention
Opposition MP Nikol Pashinyan, the leader of the "My Step" initiative just walked out of the detention facility, Alen Simonyan, member of the Yelk opposition faction, said on Facebook.
Two other detained MPs - Sasun Mikaelyan and Ararat Mirzoyan - were also released.
Talking to reporters right after his release, Pashinyan informed he is set to deliver a speech at a demonstration in the Republic square in the evening.
"All detainees should be immediately released," Pashinyan noted.
To remind, earlier Armenian First Deputy Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan said he will apply to the Prosecutor General asking to retract the decision on the motion requesting to deprive the detained opposition MPs of their immunity.
Pashinyan's release came after the meeting with Karapetyan.
