Armenian delegation misses CSTO council meeting
The delegation from Armenia is not attending a meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization's (CSTO) coordination council on combating illegal migration in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Interfax reported.
CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov informed the participants of the meeting that the Armenian delegation was unable to arrive in Almaty due to the latest political developments in the country.
“I think we will understand them. The situation is really complicated. They are dealing with normalization process in Armenia,” he said.
Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan are the current CSTO members.
