Opposition leader Pashinyan, PAP Chairman Tsarukyan hold meeting
MP of the opposition Yelk faction of the Armenian parliament, Nikol Pashinyan, who is leading the “My Step” initiative, held talks with Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Chairman, business tycoon Gagik Tsarukyan on Wednesday.
“I have just held a meeting with Gagik Tsarukyan. We discussed the current internal political situation and the possible solutions,” he said in a post on Facebook.
“The discussions will continue,” the lawmaker added.
On Wednesday, MP Pashinyan voiced his resentment against acting Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan’s Tuesday statement cancelling the scheduled talks with him, calling on people to continue mass protest actions, citing the need “ to strip the ruling Republican Party of Armenia’s deputies of power to prevent Serzh Sargsyan from running the country behind the scenes”.
