Kuwait’s national carrier launching new route to Armenia’s capital
Wataniya Airways, a national air carrier of Kuwait, is launching new regular flights to Yerevan, Armenia’s capital on June 9.
The Yerevan-Kuwait-Yerevan daytime flights will be operated twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, the General Department of Civil Aviation told Panorama.am.
The inauguration of the new route will leave a positive impact on the Armenian economy, boosting the development of the country’s inbound tourism.
The source reminds that in November 2014 the aviation authorities of Armenia and Kuwait signed a memorandum of understanding, liberalizing the market and providing the airlines of the two states the Fifth Freedom air traffic right.
