Pashinyan meets with ARF-D faction leader
Protest leader Nikol Pashinyan, who heads Yelk parliamentary faction, on Thursday met with Armen Rustamyan, the head of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) faction of the Armenian parliament.
“We believe the meeting was useful,” the ARF Bureau of Armenia reported.
The meeting came after the ARF-D officially announced a decision on Wednesday to pull out of the coalition with the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), which was followed by resignation of a group of ARF acting ministers and governors on Thursday.
In particular, Acting Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Davit Lokyan, Acting Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan, Acting Minister of Nature Protection Artsvik Minasyan, as well as Governors of Shirak and Aragatsotn regions Artur Khachatryan and Ashot Simonyan stepped down.
