Opposition leader meets with Armenia’s president
Protest leader Nikol Pashinyan, who heads Yelk bloc's parliamentary faction, on Thursday met with President Armen Sarkissian, the lawmaker said in a post on Facebook.
“Yesterday evening I held a meeting with Armenian President Armen Sarkissian. We discussed the current situation in Armenia and the possible ways to settle it,” he said.
Pashinyan also informed that Mr Sarkissian, who had served as Armenia’s Ambassador to the UK before assuming the president’s office, presented him documents evidencing that he lost the citizenship of Great Britain back in 2011.
