Tsarukyan Alliance to support ‘the people’s candidate’ for PM
Tsarukyan Alliance which is the second largest parliamentary fraction at Armenia’s National Assembly will support the leader of opposition Nikol Pashinyan’s candidacy for the post of the country’s Prime Minister, Gagik Tsarukyan, the Chairman of the fraction announced on Saturday on a televised interview.
“People have won and there is no option other than nominating the people’s candidate for the post of the Prime Minister,” Tsarukyan said, adding Tsarukyan Alliance has no plans to nominate a candidate for the post.
To remind, earlier the ruling Republican Party of Armenia announced it would not nominate its candidate for PM in order to avoid confrontation and insecurity.
