Nikol Pashinyan conducting talks with Republican MPs at parliament
Opposition MP Nikol Pashinyan is now conducting talks with lawmakers of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) at the National Assembly.
Yelk opposition faction MP Ararat Mirzoyan is also present at the meeting, Panorama.am reports.
The Republican faction convened a special session to hold a meeting with Pashinyan upon the latter’s proposal, Vahram Baghdasaryan, the head of the RPA faction, announced.
The meeting is being held in presence of media.
Yelk opposition faction nominated today ‘people’s candidate’ Nikol Pashinyan as the country’s next prime minister, with Tsarukyan Alliance, Armenia’s second largest parliamentary fraction, and Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnakstutyun voicing support for his candidacy.
