Opposition leader Pashinyan holds meeting with ARF faction MPs at parliament
The meeting of Yelk opposition faction head Nikol Pashinyan and MP Ararat Mirzoyan with lawmakers from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnakstutyun faction has kicked off at the Armenian National Assembly.
The meeting is taking place behind closed doors, Panorama.am reports.
Earlier on Monday, Pashinyan met with MPs from Tsarukyan Alliance, Armenia's second largest parliamentary fraction.
The opposition leader is also scheduled to meet with the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) faction today.
Yelk opposition faction on Monday nominated ‘people’s candidate’ Nikol Pashinyan as the country’s next prime minister, with Tsarukyan Alliance announcing its decision to support his candidacy.
The Armenian parliament is set to elect new prime minister at a special session scheduled for May 1.
