Republican Party to vote against Pashinyan’s candidacy for PM
The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) will vote against the candidacy of Nikol Pashinyan as Armenia’s prime minister, Vahram Baghdasaryan, the head of RPA faction, announced at today’s special session of the National Assembly.
The head of Yelk opposition faction Nikol Pashinyan, who leads the “My Step” movement, is the only candidate nominated for the post.
Tsarukyan Alliance, Armenia’s second largest parliamentary faction, and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnakstutyun have earlier voiced their support for Pashinyan’s candidacy.
