The person who is suspected in the armed attack of the Komitas Brunch of HSBC Bank in Yerevan is disarmed and neutralized, press secretary at Armenian Police Ashot Aharonyan wrote on Facebook, posting the image of the suspect.

As reported earlier, an armed attack was recorded at the brunch of HSBC Bank in Yerevan located at Komitas - Gyulbekyan crossroad.

According to the updated information, the suspect armed with a knife, grenade and a rifle stormed into the bank, injured two security officers, stole undetermined amount of cash and escaped.
 
Investigation is launched to look into the circumstances of the incident.

According to the source, one police officer was injured during the pursuit of the robbery suspect. Due to professional and swift actions of the law enforcement the suspect was disarmed and detained.

Media reports suggests one of the security officers at the Bank brunch was killed another wounded during the shootout at the time of the attack.
