Yerevan museum-institute hosting carpet, tapestry exhibition
Armenia’s National Museum-Institute of Architecture after Alexander Tamanyan is hosting an exhibition of carpets and tapestries (gobelin).
The exhibit titled “Wandering walls: transferring the art of carpet and tapestry to generations” has been organized by Hasmik Ghazaryan, a lecturer at the Armenian State Academy of Fine Arts and P. Terlemezyan Yerevan State College of Fine Arts, reports Panorama.am.
The exhibition aimed at maintaining the carpet and tapestry weaving traditions in the country feature more than 50 works by the graduates of the State Academy of Fine Arts and Terlemezyan State College of Fine Arts, as well as by several painters.
