Artsakh’s Kovsakan, Lebanon’s Anjar sign memorandum of cooperation
A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed on Friday between Kovsakan town of the Republic of Artsakh and Anjar town of the Republic of Lebanon, with the signing ceremony held at the City Hall of Anjar, the Artsakh Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The document was signed by Kovsakan Mayor Razmik Margaryan and Mayor of Anjar Vardges Khoshyan. Artsakh Minister of Economy and Industrial Infrastructures Levon Grigoryan, Permanent Representative of Artsakh to the Middle East Karapet Kababjian, members of the Town Council of Anjar, and representatives of the Armenian community of Lebanon were present at the signing ceremony.
The memorandum, in particular, states that, being faithful to the ideas of protection of peoples’ right to self-determination, human rights and fundamental freedoms, the sides agree to establish mutually beneficial cooperation and business ties between the two towns in the economic, tourism, cultural and other spheres, to initiate and implement joint projects in various fields, as well as organize mutual visits by specialists and experts.
