527 babies born in January-March 2018 in Artsakh
A total of 527 babies were born in the Republic of Artsakh from January to March 2018, up by 12 births from the same period last year (515 births), the country’s Health Ministry told Panorama.am.
Of them, 268 are boys and 259 – girls. The ministry said the total birth rate stood at 560 within the first three months, with 33 children born at Armenia’s medical centers.
445 of the babies were born at Stepanakert's Maternal and Child Health Center. 41 babies were born in Martakert, 23 – in Martuni, 8 – in Hadrut, 7 – in Kashatagh and 3 – in Shahumyan.
Overall, 4 twins (naturally conceived) were born in Artsakh in the first quarter of the ongoing year.
