Armenia’s tablet production up in first quarter of 2018
Tablet production saw an increase in Armenia in the first three months of 2018, the statistics show.
A total of 224 units of tables were produced in the country in January-March 2018, up by 4.4 times from the same period last year, when 55 units were manufactured, the National Statistical Service (NSS) told Panorama.am.
According to the NSS figures, Armenia did not produce smartphones in the first quarter of the ongoing year, while some 230 units of mobile phones were manufactured in the country from January to March 2017.
To note, the first Armenian Armphone smartphones have gone on sale since January 2016. Prior to that, Armenia did not produce mobile phones.
Armenia’s computer production also dropped by 12.8% in January-March 2018 – down from last year’s 109 to 95 this year.
