French FM expected to visit Armenia next week – spox
Armenia is expected to welcome several senior officials from different countries next week, Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tigran Balayan told reporters on Tuesday.
According to the official, Armenia is set to host French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian on 27-28 May.
U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary in the State Department’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, Bridget Brink is also due in Armenia next week.
Balayan added large numbers of Diaspora-Armenians are expected to attend the May 28 celebrations in the country marking the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia.
He also said that Armenia’s president is due to visit Georgia on 25-26 May to attend the centennial of Georgia's independence, with Armenia’s prime minister expected to pay official visit to the country on 30-31 May.
He informed that a number of visits and meetings of Armenia’s foreign minister both on bilateral and multilateral platforms are being scheduled now, promising to provide information on them soon.
