Paylan says he’s proud to be nominated as MP candidate from Diyarbakir
Istanbul-Armenian MP Garo Paylan representing the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) will run for parliament for another term.
He is set to be nominated by his party from Diyarbakir Province, Paylan tweeted.
He shared a trilingual post on Twitter in Armenian, Kurdish and Turkish, saying: ''Hello Tigranakert! Hello Amed! Hello Diyarbakir! I am proud to be nominated as an MP candidate from Diyarbakir.”
Many people, including Twitter users from Armenia and Turkey, have commented on his post, wishing Paylan success in the upcoming elections.
Turkey is scheduled to hold snap presidential and parliamentary elections on June 24.
