President Sarkissian makes hamburgers for kids of charity organization
Armenian President Armen Sarkissian on Friday paid a visit to Orran charity organization on the International Children’s Day.
The president, who was accompanied by his spouse during the visit, cooked hamburgers for the children under the charity institution’s care, grilling the meat on his own.
“If the kids do not like them, I will step down,” Sarkissian joked.
The ceremony was also attended by Minister of Culture Lilit Makunts.
Orran NGO was founded by Armine and Raffi Hovannisians in 2000. The center started with 16 children, but currently it has grown to embrace 150 socially vulnerable and orphan children and 50 at-risk elderly at its centers in Yerevan and Vanadzor cities.
