France contributes €30,000 to Armenia to combat violence against women
The government of France has made a voluntary contribution of €30,000 towards preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence in Armenia.
The money is allocated in the framework of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Armenia 2015–2018 and the Council of Europe Gender Equality Strategy 2018–2023, the CoE official website reports.
The agreement was signed on 4 June 2018 by Ambassador Jean-Baptiste Mattei, Permanent Representative of France to the Council of Europe, and Mrs Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni, Deputy Secretary General.
