Armenia’s Lake Sevan among top CIS resorts
Lake Sevan of Armenia has been listed among the top five resort destinations in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) popular among Russian tourists.
The most popular sea and lake resorts in the CIS space are located in Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Belarus and Azerbaijan, according to the rating list by TurStat analytical agency.
The list is compiled on the basis of Russian tourists’ visits.
The source says that Russian tourists are planning to spend some 7-14 days in the CIS resorts in summer 2018, with a daily spending of $50-100.
The majority of the resort visitors are from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Siberia, etc.
