Prime Minister says main task to develop Armenia’s current positive image
“Our cabinet obtained its current status due to non-violent velvet revolution,” Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated today during the debates of the Government Programme underway at the National Assembly.
In Pashinyan’s words, the cabinet, that was formed as a result of that process, has a historic mission to turn Armenia into a free, powerful and happy country. “Our task is to develop Armenia’s current positive image and turn Armenia into a country of post-revolutionary unprecedented successes,” added the PM.
Pashinyan next outlined a range of conceptual issues, which as he explained, should be placed at the backbone of his cabinet activity.
“Power formation through exclusively the free will of people, national unity and civil solidarity based on the equality of all before the law, ensuring the internal and external security of the Republic of Armenia, consistently raising the security level of Armenia and Artsakh, public rejection of corruption, separation of business from politics, protection of human rights, creating favorable conditions for dignified and happy living for people, exclusion of artificial economic monopolies, protection of the economic competitiveness, real opportunities to be engaged with economic activity, steadily raising the level of public education and social conditions, establishment of a violence-fee society,” Pashinyan stated.
