Tragic road accident leaves one dead, two injured in Armenia
One person was killed and two others were wounded in a tragic road accident on Armenia’s Sevan-Yerevan Highway on Sunday night.
The “911” emergency hotline received the alarm at 11 p.m., according to which a car had run off the road to crash into a small bridge.
One fire and rescue squad of the service left for the scene to find out that a VAZ 2106 had gone off the roadway to crash into a roadside barrier, due to which one of the passengers (born in 1966) died on the spot, the Ministry of Emergency Situations told Panorama.am.
Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the driver (born in 1956) and the other passenger (born in 1996 ) were taken to hospital through local efforts, the ministry said, adding they are reportedly in a moderate condition at the moment.
The rescuers disconnected the automotive battery and closed the gas valve of the car to take the dead body out of the vehicle, the source said.
