Armenian president speaks of huge untapped potential in Iran-Armenia trade relations
Armenian President Armen Sarkissian received today the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) to f Armenia Seyyed Kazem Sajjad.
As the press service at the Office of the President reported.
Welcoming the guest, the president noted that Armenia the high-level interstate relations between Armenia, Iran which is based on centuries-old friendship of the two peoples, adding those relations create good opportunity for development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
The interlocutors concurred that the Armenian-Iranian trade relations have huge untapped potential that requires consistent work to be realized efficiently.
It was mutually stressed the need for activation of projects in the economic agenda of the two countries as well as the temporary agreement to establish a free trade zone between Iran and EAEU that opens up new horizons for cooperation.
