Bulgarian parliament ratifies EU-Armenia agreement
Bulgaria’s parliament has ratified the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA), Bulgaria’s Embassy to Armenia said in a statement on Facebook.
“Thus, the currently presiding over the EU Council, Bulgaria has become one of the first EU member states to approve the agreement. We look forward to working with our Armenian partners on its implementation,” reads the statement.
Bulgaria becomes the fifth country after Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia to ratify the document.
EU and Armenia signed the new deal on the sidelines of the EU Eastern Partnership Summit in November 2017.
