Azerbaijan downs Artsakh drone at contact line
The Azerbaijani military on Tuesday shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) belonging to the Artsakh Armed Forces, the press service of the country’s Defense Ministry told Panorama.am.
The drone was conducting monitoring at the southeastern direction of the Artsakh-Azerbaijan Line of Contact when downed by the adversary at around 11:20am on 19 June.
“Despite the attempts of the Azerbaijani side to hinder the important flights carried out by Armenian UAVs for defense purposes, the command of the Artsakh Armed Forces is determined to continue the regular air monitoring process,” the ministry said.
The Defense Army also vowed to take punitive retaliatory measures to suppress the adversary’s activity both in the air and on land.
