April 12 can be considered the beginning of this phase of Azerbaijan’s intensified activity, Tigran Abrahamyan, an adviser to the Artsakh Republic president, said in a Facebook post, summing up the current situation at the Artsakh-Azerbaijan Line of Contact.

“The adversary has become noticeably active on the frontline, which takes different shapes in different periods: mobilization of military equipment, accumulations, active engineering works, attempts to influence the Armenian and Artsakh society, propaganda work in all the targets possible,” he wrote.

The Artsakh official stresses Azerbaijan carried out active movements and accumulations of military equipment over the past week, with active engineering works underway at the Azerbaijani frontline for two months already.

“The special units [of the Azerbaijani army] are quite active this week,” he said.
